Why OGG
OGG (Opus) files are smaller than MP3 at the same sound, and play in browsers, Android and most games.
Questions
A little: the MP3 is decoded and encoded again. At 96 kbps Opus or more it is hard to hear; pick Best (160 kbps) for music.
Usually, yes. Opus at 96 kbps sounds about as good as MP3 at 128 to 160 kbps.
Do not count on it: title, artist and cover art may be left out.
No. The conversion happens right in your browser, so your file stays on your device. There is no account to make, either.
