Your files
Opening a tool downloads it like any web page. From then on your file is read, changed and saved by your browser. It is never sent to webdave or anyone else, and the AI models run on your device too.
On your device
webdave sets no cookies. Your browser keeps a few things for you, and only you can see them:
- Settings such as light or dark mode, the last choices in a tool, and saved Batch recipes.
- AI models you have used, so they do not download again. See and delete them.
- Recent results in a few network tools, such as domain checks, for a day at most.
Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of it.
Tools that ask servers
Some answers only exist on the internet. These tools ask for them straight from your browser, and only for what you typed:
| Tool | Who is asked |
|---|---|
| What’s my IP | Cloudflare, on opening. GeoJS, Cloudflare DNS, Team Cymru and the address’s registry only after “Show more details”, and OpenFreeMap for the map. |
| IP lookup | GeoJS, Cloudflare DNS, Team Cymru, the address’s registry and OpenFreeMap, after Look up. Private and special addresses are never sent. |
| DNS and email tools | Cloudflare’s or Google’s public DNS, after you check a domain. |
| WHOIS lookup and domain checker | IANA, Cloudflare DNS and the domain’s registry. For endings without a modern lookup service, WHOIS goes through webdave’s relay, which keeps no log. |
| SEO and AI search checker | The site you check, fetched through webdave’s relay, which keeps no log. Google PageSpeed when it is on. |
| Unit calculator | The European Central Bank’s rates through Frankfurter, only after you ask for currency. |
The two relays check you are a person with Cloudflare Turnstile before their first answer.
Counting visits
webdave is hosted by Cloudflare, which sees each request like any host does. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, where visitors come from, their country and device, and how fast pages load. It uses no cookies and does not follow you across sites. Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
