What is a DOCX file?
A DOCX file is a Word document in the Office Open XML format: a ZIP package of XML parts. word/document.xml holds the text, styles.xml the styles, and relationship files link images, comments, headers and footers.
Converters often handle the body text and miss the rest: comments, tracked insertions and deletions, numbering definitions, right-to-left paragraphs, or page fields in the footer. Switch them on one at a time to find what breaks.

What you can generate
- Headings (Heading 1 and 2), bullets and numbered lists
- Tables with a header row
- PNG images in the text
- Hyperlinks, comments and tracked changes
- Header and footer with PAGE and NUMPAGES fields
- A4, US Letter or A5 pages
- English, Swedish, German, Japanese or Arabic (right to left)
How to make one
- Open the DOCX generator, or start from a preset above.
- Set the size and switch on the edge cases you need; the preview and size estimate follow every change.
- Generate, then download. The file is made in your browser, and the same preset and seed always give you the same file.
Questions

Each page ends with a page break and holds content sized to fit one page with the default fonts, so the count should match what you chose. A renderer with other fonts can push content onto an extra page.
