What is an EXE file?
EXE, DLL and SYS files are Windows programs, libraries and drivers, in the Portable Executable (PE) format.
What the program says about itself: name, company and version, machine, 32 or 64-bit, build time, who signed it, the privilege it asks for, its sections, the DLLs and functions it uses, and its exports. A self-extracting archive inside opens too.
How to open an EXE file
- Add your EXE. Drop the file in the box, choose it or paste it.
- Look at it. What the program says about itself: name, company and version, machine, 32 or 64-bit, build time, who signed it, the privilege it asks for, its sections, the DLLs and functions it uses, and its exports. A self-extracting archive inside opens too.
- Take it further. Download any file from inside an archive, or open another file.
