What is a Pages file?
In short
Pages is Apple’s word processor. A .pages file is a ZIP of Apple’s own binary parts with a preview picture, and sometimes a PDF, inside.
The preview Pages saves with the document: a picture of the first page, or the whole PDF when the file has one. Apple’s own format isn’t read.
How to open a Pages file
- Add your Pages. Drop the file in the box, choose it or paste it.
- Look at it. The preview Pages saves with the document: a picture of the first page, or the whole PDF when the file has one. Apple’s own format isn’t read.
- Take it further. Open in hands it, in a new tab, to File converter or Batch.
