How to edit an image online
Drop or paste your picture, pick a tool on the right (crop, adjust, annotate, hide, background, resize), and press Save. Every change can be undone with Ctrl+Z.
Open a picture
Drop it on the box, choose it, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V. The editor opens photos in Photo and screenshots, logos and drawings in Graphic; switch whenever you like.
Crop and straighten
Drag the corners, or pick a ratio such as 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9. Lock ratio keeps the shape you drew. Auto levels a tilted horizon.
Make the changes
Adjust light and colour, mark up a screenshot with arrows, text and numbers, hide names and faces, or make a logo's background transparent.
Save or copy
PNG, JPG or WebP. Set a largest file size for forms with a limit, or copy the result straight into a chat or a document.
Photo or graphic: one editor, two workspaces
Photos and graphics need different tools. A landscape wants a level horizon and better light; a screenshot wants an arrow and a hidden email address; a logo wants a transparent background. The editor keeps one picture, one undo history and one Save, and shows the tools for the kind of picture you have.
| Workspace | For | Tools |
|---|---|---|
| Photo | Landscapes, portraits, phone photos, scans of documents | Crop and straighten, adjust, perspective, hide, resize, save |
| Graphic | Screenshots, logos, icons, diagrams, drawings | Crop, annotate, hide, background, colours, resize, save |
The editor picks one when you open a picture: transparency or large areas of a single colour mean Graphic. Switching keeps everything you have done.
What each tool does
| Crop | Free or fixed ratio (original, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 4:5, 9:16), a ratio lock for any shape you draw, exact pixel sizes, a rule-of-thirds grid. Turn by 90° and flip, without losing quality |
|---|---|
| Straighten | Up to 45° either way, zoomed just enough that no empty corners show. Auto finds the tilt of the horizon or of building lines |
| Adjust | Auto fix, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, warmth, tint, saturation, vibrance, sharpen and grain, with a before and after divider |
| Perspective | Four corners onto a document, whiteboard, screen or painting shot at an angle; it comes out flat |
| Annotate | Arrows, boxes, a marker that keeps text readable, a pen, text with an outline, and numbered steps for how-to screenshots |
| Hide | Solid, pixelate or blur over any area; Hide every face finds the faces for you |
| Background | Make a colour transparent with clean anti-aliased edges, trim empty edges, add padding, make square, fill transparency |
| Colours | Pick any colour as HEX, RGB or HSL, check the WCAG contrast of two colours, and get the picture's palette as CSS |
| Resize | Exact pixels or percent, with or without the proportions; smooth for photos, sharp pixels for pixel art and icons |
| Save | PNG, JPG or WebP with quality, a largest file size, a file name, or copy to the clipboard |
Hiding private details safely
Blurring or pixelating text looks safe but is not always: with small blocks, the original can sometimes be recovered by trying fonts until the blocks match. For passwords, card numbers, addresses and anything else in text, use Solid. It replaces the pixels with one colour, and the saved file has nothing underneath.
- Solid is the default, with black or white
- Pixelate uses large blocks; blur is heavy and has noise added, so it cannot be sharpened back
- Hide every face finds faces with YuNet, on your device (small ones too), and covers each with an oval sized so the finder cannot see a face in it any more
- The saved copy has no location, camera or date in it, even when the original did
Where does the picture go?
It stays on your device. Every edit happens right in your browser. Hide every face downloads a small face finder from this site the first time (14 MB, shared with the image upscaler).

Questions
No. Every edit runs in your browser, on your device. It stays on your device, and the saved copy leaves out the location, camera and date that photos carry.
Not always: pixelated or lightly blurred text can sometimes be read back by trying fonts until the blocks match. For text, use Solid, which replaces the pixels with one colour. The editor uses large blocks and adds noise to blurs, but Solid is the safe choice.
Open the logo, switch to Graphic, choose Background, pick the background colour and press Make transparent. Smooth edges un-mixes the old background out of the soft edge pixels, so the logo has no white halo on a dark page. Save as PNG or WebP.
Yes. In Save, choose a largest size such as 500 KB or 1 MB. The editor finds the highest JPG or WebP quality that fits, and makes the picture smaller only if quality alone is not enough.
No, and it is not trying to be. It covers what most people open an editor for: crop, straighten, fix the light, mark up a screenshot, hide something, clean up a logo, and save at the right size. There are no layers or selections.
